Ireon
Ireon’s name was taken from the impressive temple of Hera which is located 200m before the village. The temple which is known for its size was built in the 8th century B.C., and a part of it was rebuilt later.
Ireon is a graphical fish village which the last years a lot of people are working with tourism. It combines the wonderful green vegetation with the crystal blue of the sea. The other combination is the possibility to choose between lonely beaches a little further than the village like Aspros Kavos and more or with more people at the village.
As well you can make a day trip from Ireon with captain Andreas to beaches where there is not access with a car. At Ireon you can find taverns, bars, mini markets, little shops, bakery, taxi, busses, and cash machine.
